Learning for Life

At St. Michael’s College our Early Learning Centre provides meaningful play-based and hands on learning experiences for children that both challenges them and extends their learning. We believe learning is a journey that never ends. Our learning encompasses the following:

  • Exploration
  • Social interactions
  • Building independence
  • Decision making
  • Nature play
  • Sense of belonging
  • Collaborative play

The ELC rooms offer various holistic and supportive learning environments that stimulate the children’s well-being allowing them to learn to interact with others in many situations whether that be in our creative art spaces, natural spaces, or quiet area.

See how we equip our children with confidence and the skills to think creatively, work collaboratively and problem solve by booking a tour.

Starting childcare marks a new stage of family life and is a big transition for children and parents. For many children it is the first time they have been away from their parents for a significant period of time and the first time they have interacted with a large group of children. For families it may be the first time they have trusted the care of their child to someone else.
